Works well cats were scared of it at first now they are using it on a regular basis
My cat was relentless about getting in the bathtub to drink water from the faucet so I worried he wasn't getting enough water. I had owned one previous fountain (I think it was a catit, but am not sure) and that didn't go well because the plug got super-hot, making me afraid to keep it on, and then it broke.
I've had this a month and just fully cleaned it for the first time. It took about 5 minutes to fully clean, including the pump, and a couple minutes to reassemble. I did watch the helpful video about how to clean the pump and had to use a knife to open it.
It's very quiet. We have it in our bathroom and you CAN hear water trickling, but not if you mostly close the door. (Our cat whacks an ajar door open with his paw.) I don't think it would bother most people.
It was easy to clean. In fact, I was shocked how clean it was after a month of just refilling. A few people said it stops if the water level drops, which is true, but it needs to be QUITE low. Even with the heat on, it seems to last about a week, which is when you are supposed to refill anyway.
I'm a fan. My cat was at first quite suspicious, but when I put him in front of it about three times, he decided it was worth trying. Now he will literally bust into the bathroom to use it regularly, a little irritated that you're blocking his water!
My cat has recently taken to drinking from the faucet so I got him this fountain. It's super simple to put together and it bascially already comes installed. It does come with 2 filters already installed and some extra carbon ones with a pipe cleaner. The power cord is thing and has a notch for it at the back so it's not just floating around falling into the reservoir or snaking around the base. To help keep the water cool ypu can add ice cubes in the reservoir and it won't damage anything. For those who use any oral cleansers, I say it is safe to use them here too as I also use them for my cat.
In general, just make sure to keep checking in the filters every 2 weeks depending the location and the traffic it has. I would also recommend to buy a pack of filters so you can't have to worry about it down the line.
This is a great cat water bowl! Our cats (and even the dog) like to use this bowl. The filter keeps the water clear so cats are more likely to drink.
Perfect gift for mothers day for someone who owns cats! Their cats loved it instantly! Especially since I knew they have cats that meowed to drink from the faucet a lot. My only complaint for it is that it has no way to view if the water is low. Though they were fine with it! Worth the price but wish I could rate it a 5 out of 5 if it had a window! As far as I saw it seemed easy to clean! Perfect quality! Also not noisy more than an aquarium filter! Highly recommend to buy it! Plus recommend buying extra filters! Worth it as a combo pay!
